CCMCHCEstablished in 1991, the Maternal and Child Health Consortium is a private, non-profit organization working to ensure that children start healthy, stay healthy, and succeed in school.

 

Healthy Start Program:

Our Healthy Start program provides services to pregnant and parenting women including:

  • Home visiting
  • Health insurance and food stamp enrollment
  • Health and parenting education
  • Prenatal and parenting classes
  • Support groups
  • Connections to community resources

Family Benefits Program:

MCHC has helped thousands of disadvantaged Chester County families gain access to healthcare since 1995 through our Health Insurance Enrollment Initiative. More recently, we have expanded our countywide enrollment efforts to include SNAP (food stamps) to meet the needs of the growing number of families experiencing hunger. Bilingual staff of our Family Benefits Program enrolls participants in resources that are key to their families’ health and success.

Information & Referral

MCHC works with county agencies in the Coatesville area in order to assist clients in obtaining services with minimal delay.  The Program is informed about the various services that are available to local residents.   Our Information and Referral Specialist assists individuals and families in the Coatesville area with referral assistance to access services such as:

  • Health Insurance and CHIP
  • Transportation Information
  • Housing Information
  • Domestic Violence Information
  • Utility and Rental Assistance
  • And More!
